Also known as an academic or educational evaluation. These comprehensive assessments are conducted when children are experiencing difficulties with reading, writing, math, attention, or classroom performance.

Typical referrals include concerns about dyslexia, ADHD, intellectual disability, specific learning disorders, or giftedness. By identifying both strengths and barriers, we provide practical recommendations that help families and schools support a child’s educational success and overall well-being.

What is the Cost for Evaluations?

I know that choosing to move forward with an evaluation is a big decision, and I want the process to feel clear and supportive from the very start. My goal is to provide families with a thorough, meaningful evaluation that helps answer important questions and guides next steps at home, school, and in the community.

I am now an approved Medicaid provider, which means that families with Colorado Medicaid can use their coverage for evaluations at no cost to them. For families using any other insurance, I am currently “out of network” with all commercial insurance plans. While I’m in the process of joining insurance panels to expand coverage options, this process takes time. In the meantime, you are encouraged to consult with your health insurance provider prior to the time of service to determine whether an evaluation may be reimbursed. Upon request, I can provide an itemized receipt (a superbill) to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

The price of a private-pay evaluation depends on the complexity of the case. A general estimate will be provided when scheduling, and a more accurate quote will be discussed at the conclusion of the first appointment. Payment by credit card is accepted.
