Our clinic integrates expertise in both school psychology and pediatric neuropsychology to provide comprehensive services that not only assess a child’s cognitive and academic abilities but also translate findings into practical, evidence-based recommendations that can be effectively implemented in school settings. In addition, our team includes a bilingual (English–Spanish) licensed psychologist, who is able to deliver these services directly. This ensures clear communication with families and advocacy for the child’s needs without reliance on third-party interpreters.
At Bilingual Neuropsychological Services, we strive to provide comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in both English and Spanish. Our mission is to support mental health and well-being across diverse communities.
Language shapes how we think, learn, and express ourselves — which means that for bilingual individuals, an accurate evaluation must consider both languages and the cultural context that surrounds them. Dr. Sherry provides bilingual (English–Spanish) neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments that honor each person’s full linguistic background. Rather than relying on translated tests or monolingual assumptions, she carefully evaluates skills in both languages to distinguish between language differences and true learning or cognitive concerns. This approach ensures that recommendations are fair, culturally sensitive, and genuinely reflect an individual’s potential, helping families and schools make informed, supportive decisions.
A pediatric neuropsychological evaluation looks at how a child’s brain and nervous system impact their thinking, learning, emotions, and behavior.
A psychoeducational evaluation focuses on a child’s learning and academic skills, exploring how they process and retain new information.
